Cash On Delivery 

In May of 2010, Autolux introduced a "Cash on Delivery" (COD) service. COD is a method of delivery, in which the receiving party pays for the delivery service.  The parcel will not be turned over to the recipient until the payment has been received in full.   

The cost of services is the same as any other standard of delivery.  

This service is especially useful for online shopping as the transport company is the mediator between the seller and buyer.

Example of a filled in declaration

In the point 4 of the declaration one should indicate the real cost of cargo.

If sending of the cargo with cash on delivery service is made by a legal person, one should indicate the title of the company or the name of a private person in the corresponding field #7. In this case an individual may receive the payment after presenting a trustee letter and a passport. If sending of the cargo with cash on delivery service is made by an individual, the sender should indicate the passport serial number in point 7 of the declaration.

The evaluation of the transportation cost is made at standard tariffs of the transport operator.

Sending of payment for the cargo costs 10UAH if the sum does not exceed 1000UAH, and 1% from the sum if the sum exceeds 1000UAH.

The sender specifies the payer of the transportation cost while sending the cargo (indicates a person who pays for sending of cargo and a person who pays for sending of payment for the cash on delivery service). Both transportations (sending of cargo and sending of payment for the cash on delivery service) are bounded by the same declaration number.

If the cargo is not received by the cash on delivery service in the place of destination, it will be kept at the transport operator storage over 3 days period, the sum of cash on delivery is also kept over 3 days period.

The return of payment is made at the initial place of cargo sending.

In case the cargo is rejected by the receiver, the sender returns the cargo (makes redirection).

The cargo may be examined by the receiver at the presence of the “Autolux” company representative.
